How to rotate a PDF

Why pages end up rotated
Scanners and phone scanning apps often save pages in whatever orientation the paper happened to be in, so a landscape contract or a sideways receipt can come out rotated 90°. A document built from a few screenshots can end up upside down. Rotating the PDF once fixes the way it displays everywhere, so you do not have to keep tilting your head — or your monitor — every time you open it.
