How to delete pages from a PDF

What page ranges mean
A single number like 4 deletes just that page. A range like 5-7 deletes pages 5, 6 and 7 — the dash is inclusive on both ends. You can mix the two freely: 1, 3, 5-7, 12 removes pages 1, 3, 5, 6, 7 and 12 in one go. Duplicates and overlaps are fine; the tool sorts and de-duplicates your list before editing. Pages are removed from the back of the document forward, so the numbering you type always refers to theoriginal PDF — you never have to recalculate positions as pages disappear.
When deleting PDF pages is handy
Scanners often add a blank back page or a separator sheet; a quick delete cleans that up. You might strip a cover page or signature page before sharing, drop the marketing pages from a long report, or remove a few duplicate scans before sending a document to a portal that has a page limit. Because the result is a standard PDF, it opens anywhere and prints exactly as expected. If you only need a handful of pages, deleting the rest is often faster than splitting the file.
